About Me

My name is Rose Anna Marcelli. I am a Registered Early Childhood Educator who is currently working for York Region District School Board as a Designated Early Childhood Educator (DECE). I am also an Ontario Certified Teacher that has graduated in June 2015 with Highest Distinction. I hold Primary, Junior, and Intermediate Qualifications. Cumulatively, I have 6 years of experience working with children in Child Care, Early Intervention, and Classroom settings. In my spare time I like to read and further my professional development through workshops and AQ/ABQ courses. As an educator I strive to maintain a warm, respectful, and inclusive classroom environment there the needs of my students are supported and their interests are fostered. My lessons include inquiry-based, play-based, and experimental/hands on learning experiences that are cross-curricular and linked to real-life experiences. I created this blog because Trista Dutt (@kindiekorner), my teacher partner and former field mentor has inspired me to do so. I hope you enjoy learning about my journey and viewing the work I do with my students as I strive to achieve my goal of becoming an Elementary School Teacher!
